Sikkuy-Aufoq - For a Shared and Equal Society (R.A)

Dr. Matan Plum joined Sikkuy-Aufoq in December 2025 as Coordinator of Shared Urban Spaces. Matan brings extensive experience in community management and social projects, following comprehensive research at the intersection of urban planning, geopolitics, and social inequality. Among his achievements, he recently completed a PhD in Urban Planning and Development at University College London, focusing on understanding Israeli housing discourse as a tool for racial and ethno-national oppression. Matan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law and a Master’s degree in Political Science (Public Policy track), both from Bar-Ilan University. In recent years, he has worked as a criminal lawyer, engaged in teaching and academic research in the fields of law, urban sociology, and architectural history at University College London, and managed liberal Jewish communities in London and Kiryat Shmona. Matan lives in Kiryat Shmona with his partner.
