Sikkuy-Aufoq - For a Shared and Equal Society (R.A)

Yael Federman joined Sikkuy-Aufoq at the beginning of 2023 as the coordinator for Shared Public Spaces, in Shared Society Department.

Yael earned her undergraduate degree in geography, environmental development and psychology at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, and did her master’s in environmental planning policy at Radboud University in the Netherlands. In recent years, she has managed the advocacy and support center at ASSAF (the Aid Organization for Refugees and Asylum Seekers in Israel).
Previously Yael worked on an education project serving unrecognized villages in the Negev, as a community urban planner with the Lev Ha’ir Community Council in Jerusalem, and as an intern with the Tel Aviv-Jaffa Municipality working on the planning team for Jaffa and the South.

Yael is also a certified practitioner of the Feldenkrais Method and Thai massage.
